Position Description:

Production Assistants would be responsible for miscellaneous crew assignments, duplication, and maintenance of assigned areas, including, but not limited to: studio and location production, duplication, live television broadcasts, and other miscellaneous Production Assistant tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Studio and location production crew assignments
  • All duplication, including Q.C., and packaging
  • Set-building and preparation including painting the cyc
  • Camera operation for Live Television Broadcasts
  • Teleprompting
  • Basic make-up for Talent
  • General facilities support
  • Deliveries
  • Other projects as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Must be detail oriented, reliable, have a good driving record, and work well in teams and independently. Carpentry or electrical skills or general mechanical inclination is helpful. Must be able to lift 35 pounds.

Education and/or Experience

At least two years education or experience in film, video, or television required.

Special Requirements:

Willing to work weekends, nights, and early morning hours.

Creative Director

Position Description:

At Transvideo Studios, a Creative Director is a team leader who is passionate about great design, animation, and the tech sector. He or she is responsible for developing a creative approach to animation and visual effects projects and leading a team in the execution of those projects. He or she displays strong artistic aptitude with an exceptional sense of design and a clear interest in motion graphics and related technology. He or she delivers quality results under high pressure deadlines, and attention to detail combined with a strong working knowledge of design-related applications is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing and designing scripts and concepts that align with and enhance a client’s stated objectives
  • Translating clients’ needs into designs that are visually appealing and meets their goals and requirements
  • Designing mood boards, storyboards, and animation concepts
  • Designing and producing art and animation that meets or exceeds objectives
  • Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables
  • Building and maintaining rapport with team personnel and project managers
  • Engaging in ongoing technical teaching and learning with our creative team

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years education or 5 years motion design or creative direction work experience

Position Description:

The Web Designer/Developer is a team player working closely with Executive Management and Producers in matching strategic objectives with appropriate design results.
He or she is able to solve problems with creativity and technical efficiency.
He or she is exceptional in meeting deadlines, working within limitations and is passionate about design and development.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with clients, creative directors, and management in creating strong designs that meet client specifications
  • Design, develop and test web sites
  • Evaluate user experience and maintain branding and design consistency
  • Develop and maintain code, image assets and content for multiple landing pages

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in HTML and CSS (HTML5 and CSS3 preferred)
  • Strong knowledge in Photoshop, Fireworks and Illustrator
  • Ability to design clean intuitive UIs for complex data structures
  • Understanding of the difference between semantic and presentational markup and flexibility in the approach
  • Able to utilize the latest browser technology with an eye towards graceful degradation or progressive enhancement or whatever buzz word phasing is used to describe getting stuff to work in older browsers.
  • Proficiency with javascript (understanding of DOM API and code doesn’t clutter up the global namespace)
  • Experience with database queries using SQL or similar
  • Experience with at least one of the following: PHP, Ruby, ASP, Java, Python

Pluses:

  • Familiarity with MVC concepts
  • Experience with backbone.js or similar javascript library

  • Offline/online edit documentary.
  • Edit mixed animation and graphics, including screen capture.
  • Design graphics, lower thirds, assist with motion graphics projects.
  • Encoding to proper formats and forums.
  • Duplication and ingest multiple analog and digital media.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2- years experience NLE editing, preferably with Final Cut Pro. Familiarity of Adobe Premiere and RED camera post.
  • Strong online finishing skills.
  • Color correction and grading.
  • On set editing experience.
  • Requisite After Effects knowledge: keying, compositing, tracking and basic animation.
  • Fine eye for the consequences of compression and the knowledge for how to get the most out of encoding.
  • Know encoding standards, protocols, and specific settings and templates for most popular formats.

Responsibilities:

Designing and producing animation solutions that meet or exceed strategic objectives

Designing animatics, animation and motion for audio and tempo, including music and voiceover

Producing animated graphics, ranging from logo animations, bumpers, animation/live action-hybrid graphics, to full productions

Providing quality assurance on creative deliverables

Building and maintaining a team rapport with creative team personnel and project managers

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years work experience as a 3D animator, and 3 years work experience as a motion graphics artist preferred
  • Ability to articulate ideas effectively
  • Aptitude for quick creative thinking with serious attention to detail
  • Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
  • Thorough understanding of keying, rotoscoping, 2D tracking, 3D matchmoving
  • General understanding of 3D Modeling, texturing, animating (non-character), lighting, basic character rigging

We’re looking for a team player with an artistic eye and creative sensibilities, who would be working very closely with our creative team and helping to bring those ideas to life. This position requires an active, creative professional, who can thrive in a fast-paced studio environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing videos in studio and on location, in various delivery formats
  • Developing and overseeing budgets
  • Providing client services and supporting various company projects
  • Write, direct and perform in other creative roles as needed
  • Overseeing multiple projects within tight deadlines simultaneously

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience
  • Corporate video production experience, especially in the tech industry, is preferred
  • Strong writing skills
  • Strong tech sensibilities
  • Very strong communication and organizational skills
  • Must work well under pressure
