Picturelab Demo Reel 2011
Picturelab’s new demo reel for 2011. Stuffed full of projects we’ve done, for clients large and small. We focus on the web and tech industry (aka teh internets), helping to tell stories and facilitate introductions. We hope you like!
SlideRocket “Take Off”
SlideRocket approached us to create a brand new video that captured the breadth of and power of their presentation platform. We collaborated on the messaging and developed a visual approach that synced with a revamp of their product and site. We wish we had the time to create the video from within SlideRocket – maybe [...]
Checkpoints
Checkpoints is a mobile app that lets you earn points for checking out products and services while you shop. We helped the Checkpoints team craft the message and bring Mr. and Mrs. Checkpoints to life. We have a great time creating all the fake products to line the shelves of Yum Yum grocery. It’s all [...]
CarWoo! “Woo! Machine”
CarWoo! is a whole new approach to buying new cars. The folks at CarWoo! are out to put the customer in the driver’s seat and eliminate the haggling and pressure of business as usual. We cooked up a visual approach and design for the “Woo! Machine” that hooks up customers with reputable dealers, while still protecting privacy and ensuring great deals on a new car. Woo!
Clockspot
“Clockspot is employee time tracking built for the modern, mobile workplace.” We worked with Clockspot to show how great time tracking can actually be vibrant. Dynamic even. We developed a visual style, script, and pacing that made use of time motifs to spice up what could be seen as a dry or mechanical product area.
Produced [...]
Top Prospect
Top Prospect is one of those things that, once you see it, makes you wish you had come up with the idea. It just makes sense. It’s a service that’s enabled by the web but relies on good old fashioned human contact: in other words perfect for our time and place. We really enjoyed crafting a vibrant, snappy style to help new users get started.
Mint.com “Know Your Money”
Mint! We love working with these guys. This time, we teamed up to create the introductory video on Mint.com’s homepage.
Quicken “Find Balance”
Working again with our friends from Mint and their new colleagues at Intuit, we developed a fresh visual approach that introduces new and prospective customers to Quicken.
Total Sausagefe.st
We’re back! We got a kick out of the recent wheretheladies.at app, so we whipped up an homage/analogue. Join the suasagefe.st!
Randar
We have a ton of new projects in the works, so we’ve had our nose to the grindstone. In the meantime, to make sure everyone knows we’re still alive, a totally random render of a little dude cresting the hill.
After Effects Presets: The Single Layer Challenge
What is the single layer challenge? Using only effects applied to a single layer in Adobe After Effects, make something awesome (or at least useful). We recently slapped together two examples, which we have here as free preset downloads.
One of the things we’ve had to do in the past is emulate “highlighted text.” You know, [...]
TechCrunch Shout Out
Our recent work (Produced by Transvideo Studios and its creative division, Picturelab) for Blippy was picked up by TechCrunch on the 4th of July! Very exciting stuff – we’re avid readers of the web-centric blog, being located in the heart of the Silicon Valley and all. We’re starting to get booked up for the fall, [...]
